The desire to have children or a pregnancy can be causes that you begin to deal with your own birth. To become a father or mother means that the experiences of the own birth are affected. The reflection and positive integration of the own birth have thus effects on being pregnant as well as on birthing for the becoming father and for the becoming mother.
